The Coaching Team

I have been coaching a range of team sports for over 14 years, specifically working with players aged 4-16.

During this time, I have completed a BSc. Honours Degree in Sports Coaching Science, an MSc. Honours Degree in Sports Coaching. In addition, I have completed several sports coaching qualifications, including becoming a Level 2 qualified hockey coach.

In all my hockey coaching sessions I endeavour to:

1. Help nurture each child’s love of playing hockey
2. Focus primarily on fun, skill development and decision making.
3. Foster values of perseverance, teamwork and sportsmanship

I have been coaching hockey for the last 7 years,
working mainly with junior players. Although most of my work was with secondary
school players developing into senior teams, I also have experience working with
primary school players.

For myself, I have been playing hockey since I was 5
years old and have reached the U17’s and U18’s regional performance centres
along with playing a high standard of University hockey having also trialed for
the English Institution Squad.

My coaching focus is always the people in front
of me and helping each of them develop in the game; seeing the improvements is
what makes coaching so worthwhile!
